Extended Day Program

Wingra School offers an Extended Day Program after school each day from dismissal to 5:45 p.m.

The program is also offered from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on days the school is closed for in-service or conferences. The group will often go on a field trip on these days. Marieka will contact parents directly about the plans and necessary arrangements for the field trips.

Children can choose from a number of activities:

• games
• puzzles
• reading
• art projects

The group goes outdoors to the playground or to the gym each day for physical activity.

Extended Day Coordinator, Marieka Greene, stays in good communication with each child's classroom teachers and parents to ensure that there is continuity throughout the child’s school and home life and the extended day program.
